These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Barrier mobile application and related services operated by DrinkUp Limited.
By accessing or using Barrier, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
1. Who We Are

References to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean DrinkUp Limited.
2. Eligibility
Barrier is intended for users aged 13 and above.
If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.
You must:
- Be legally permitted to use the App in your jurisdiction
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Comply with all applicable laws
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In.
You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and authentication credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. What Barrier Provides
Barrier allows users to log live music events, rate and review shows, and share opinions and experiences.
Barrier does not sell tickets, organise events, guarantee event accuracy, or control artists, venues, or promoters.
All real world events occur outside the App and are not our responsibility.
5. User Content
You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
You agree your content:
- Is based on genuine experience
- Does not infringe rights
- Is not defamatory, abusive, hateful, misleading, or unlawful
- Does not impersonate others
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Review Editing
Free users cannot edit reviews once submitted.
Barrier Pass subscribers may edit a review within 5 minutes of posting it.
After 5 minutes, reviews cannot be edited.
Editing functionality is a subscription feature and may change in future updates.
7. Licence to Use Content
You retain ownership of your content.
By posting content, you grant us a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to display, store, process, promote, and use it within the App and related marketing.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Barrier offers paid subscription plans including Barrier Pass and Ad Free.
Free accounts display non personalised advertisements.
Barrier Pass includes premium features.
Ad Free removes advertisements but does not include Barrier Pass features unless stated.
Subscriptions:
- Are processed by Apple or Google
- Automatically renew unless cancelled
- Must be managed through your app store account
- May be charged within 24 hours before renewal
Refunds must be requested through the relevant app store provider.
9. Advertising
Free accounts display non personalised advertisements.
Barrier does not use personalised advertising based on cross app tracking.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to scrape, copy, reverse engineer, manipulate ratings, or use automated systems to extract data.
11. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided as is.
We are not liable for cancelled events, venue conditions, injuries, emotional distress from reviews, data loss, or indirect damages.
Nothing limits liability where unlawful to do so.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create legal or reputational risk.
13. Privacy
Your use of Barrier is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
